My name is Guadalupe and I am a full time student . I am the last one of six. I grew up in Lima-Peru; I’ve been in the US for five years. I came with my mom, sister and brother; the other half of my family is in Lima. I like to watch TV and sleep; I don’t usually have free time and when that happens I have to take care of my personal obligations such as doing my laundry, buying food,etc . I have two jobs and I attend college. I would like to open my own business and have my relatives run it. I am aware that mixing business with family is not the best way to success but I would like to help them succeed too. I am very hard worker because I like to achieve my goals that is why I have to work so much. However I understand that education goes along with work that is why I attend college.
Three years ago my life was so messed up. I have many problems and I did not know how to solve them. I took me a while to fix them up and keep going with my life; however I learned from them and now I look back and I can tell they are over. This phase of my life changed my life and changed my view of seeing things. It made me be a better person, daughter and sister. Nowadays I value every single moment of my life and I enjoy having my family next to me.
I admired my mother because she has been through so much and still she‘d never had given up, and I am who I am because of her. She made me the person that I am now. My mother came to this country to offer us a better future; she didn’t have the necessity to come here because she had everything in Lima. However she preferred to be more mother than a woman. Since I was a kid, she was always there for all of us, and she’s always reminded us that we are going to be better. She is the person that make me keep going , and one day I would love to give her more than what she did for me; not as a paid back but as love for all the things she had sacrificed to give us a better future.
There are so many things I would like to do in life, something I feel that l would like to add more hours to the days so I can accomplished all my goals and have more time. However that it is never going to happened, that is why I value my thing as gold. I would like to open my own business. First I would like to open a bar in Brooklyn. Many people ask themselves why a bar?; well, I work a a bartender and I know the field however that would be my start point. Them when I get more capital I would like to export cars to Lima since they are really expensive over there. And import goods originally form PERU such as cashmere, gold and some others. Finally I would like to buy properties around the world and build up hotel,apartments or condos. I think in big and I know that one day I would accomplish them .
I am aware that plans in life are always going to change but I am willing to take the risk!

hey yea thnx for the comment but what you said is quite true about our childhood ……and i like your blog realy interesting .just dont forget .to let me know when u open your bar…nice blog but i would like to see some pics of your contry ..sound like a nice place..this may sound bad but i’ve only seen pics or read about Peru in my textbooks and its not even that far away from my country…

It seems that you have many dreams and goals to achive in the future, but you have excellent ideas that would make succeed, like the one of importing goods from Peru such as: gold and cashmere, but I think you also need to think about that magnificent beverage calld “PISCO”. The same one you can use at the same time in your future bar making PISCO Margaritas. It will be good business.
